Biography

Eibhlín Broderick is from Abbeyfeale in West Limerick. Eibhlín began her journey as a traditional singer at the age of 5. She has learned from many tutors at various workshops and events such as Scoil Éigse where she was noted as a “committed young singer with potential”. Eibhlín has been successful at all levels of Fleadhanna Cheoil, including the All Ireland Underage and Senior categories in Traditional singing, Amhránaíocht and Lilting. Eibhlín also plays fiddle and has achieved All-Ireland honours in grúpaí ceoil.

Eibhlín has toured with Comhaltas Concert tours Macalla na hÉireann and Echoes of Erin in 2013 and 2014 in Ireland, Britain and Canada. She has co-supported acts such as Beoga, Four Men and a Dog, Sharon Shannon, Frankie Gavin and De Dannan, The Coronas and The Blizzards. Eibhlín was also selected by the Irish World Academy at the University of Limerick to attend and sing at the NORDTRAD Festival in Stockholm, Sweden in April 2017. Having graduated with a First Class Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Irish Music and Dance in 2016, she also graduated with a First Class Honours Masters degree in Irish Traditional Music Performance from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance, University of Limerick in 2018. Eibhlín completed a Professional Master of Education in Primary Teaching with Hibernia College in 2022.

Released

Eibhlín released her debut album, My Silver River Feale in 2018.
